I decided that I'd go ahead and do it. Since I have some time on my hands, that is.
You see, if you follow me on Twitter (@noleman95) or are one of my Facebook friends, you know I post a lot about my daughters.
A lot.
With what should be a now famous hash tag #lifewithdaughters. At least I've had friends throw that hash tag out there without my urging. So, to me, that means I've started something. A movement, if you will, for those of us that are fortunate enough to parent girls.
Especially us Dads.
Even more so us Dads that are the only: Males on the team at work. The Token Male on family trips. That guy that runs to the store to pick up "hygiene products." Yes, us guys. We need a voice. Well, I'll be that voice, fellas. Because, after almost nine years of being a "Dad With Daughters," I've come to the realization that I don't regret not having a boy.
Not. One. Bit.
I've got a special job. I get to help nurture and support two wonderful human beings that have had me wrapped around their fingers since the days they were born. That have spunk. And strong wills. And rockets for arms (yes, boys, my girls CAN THROW A FOOTBALL). I also have an obligation to show them how a man in their lives should look and act. While I'm at it, I'll share with you my observations, thoughts, and questions. Because I will have questions. Especially when the pre-teen and teenage years arrive, which will be here sooner than I care to admit.
There you have it! I'll be back soon! Till next time, I'll just be living #lifewithdaughters.....
Love it! As I'm reading this, I swear, Amelia crawled over and went to sleep on my arm. I'm looking forward too learning what you already know.
